How to Join Trove Company
Dancers interested in joining Trove Company should be able to perform, or be close to performing, the required technical skills listed in our readiness requirements.
We strongly encourage dancers to attend our Trove Company Prep Camp, where instructors will help prepare dancers and assess their readiness. If a dancer is not quite ready, we'll work with them throughout the season to help them prepare for future company opportunities.
To officially join Trove Company, a parent or guardian must email britty@boonedance.com. Company enrollment cannot be completed through the parent portal.
Company Commitment
Trove Company is a season-long commitment. Families will be asked to sign a commitment agreement acknowledging that company participation is a priority.
If a dancer misses more than three company classes in a semester, they will be required to schedule a private lesson (at the family's expense) to make up missed choreography and class material.

Competitions & Community Performances
Trove Company dancers will attend three competitions each season, including two local competition/convention events and one overnight competition. Competition dates and locations will be announced soon.
Throughout the year, dancers will also perform at community events such as Boone's Got Talent, Boonerang, local nursing homes, and the Christmas and Fourth of July Parades. Additional performance opportunities and event details will be shared as they become available.
Trove Company
Excellence. Growth. Community.
The Trove Company is The Boone Dance Trove's performance and competition team, created for dancers who are ready to deepen their training, challenge themselves artistically, and become part of a dedicated team environment.
Our mission is to cultivate strong, confident dancers while fostering a supportive community built on encouragement, teamwork, and a shared love of dance. Trove Company dancers are given opportunities to grow both technically and personally while creating lasting friendships and unforgettable experiences.
What is Trove Company?
Trove Company is designed for dancers with previous dance experience who are eager to take the next step in their training.
Throughout the season, company members will:
Participate in two regional dance competitions
Perform at local community events and studio showcases
Receive focused technical training
Develop performance quality and stage presence
Build confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills
Represent The Boone Dance Trove with excellence, kindness, and joy
Our Philosophy
At The Boone Dance Trove, we believe dance should remain a positive, encouraging, and safe space for every child.
Because of this, our company placement process is based on technical readiness rather than traditional auditions. We want dancers to feel supported as they pursue new challenges without the pressure often associated with competitive team selections.
To ensure dancers begin from a similar foundational level, we use a set of technical benchmarks that allow our instructors to place dancers fairly and consistently.
These requirements are not meant to discourage dancers, but rather to create a strong foundation that helps every company member succeed.
Trove Company Readiness Requirements
Dancers interested in joining Trove Company should be working toward the following skills:
